What is Starling Collective Fellowship?

The Starling Collective Fellowship Nigeria is an innovative initiative designed for grassroots changemakers to amplify their impact, foster collaboration, and drive positive change within their communities. Inspired by the collective behavior of starlings, this fellowship program aims to harness the power of unity, collaboration and shared learning to address local challenges and promote generosity.

Objectives Of The Fellowship

Empower GivingTuesday Nigeria Community leaders to address local challenges and drive systems change effectively.

Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation among fellows.

 

Provide access to coaching, peer learning, and resources to support the growth and sustainability of grassroots initiatives.

Amplify the impact of grassroots efforts through connections to GivingTuesday’s global leader network and microgrants for on-the-ground/Pilot projects.

Key Benefits Of Being A Starling Collective Fellow

  1. Peer Learning and Collaboration: Fellows can learn from and collaborate with like-minded changemakers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Through peer-to-peer support and knowledge sharing, fellows can gain valuable insights and perspectives to enhance their work.
  2. Coaching and Mentorship: The fellowship offers personalized coaching and mentorship to help fellows navigate challenges, refine their strategies, and maximize their impact. Experienced mentors will provide guidance and support tailored to the unique needs and goals of each fellow.

Microgrants will be available to jumpstart or scale on-the-ground projects, enabling fellows to turn their ideas into action.

This network provides opportunities for collaboration, partnership building, and knowledge exchange on a global scale.
  5. Capacity Building: The fellowship curriculum is designed to build the capacity of fellows in key areas such as leadership, fundraising, advocacy, and community organizing. Through interactive workshops, training sessions, and experiential learning activities, fellows will develop the skills and knowledge needed to drive sustainable change.

Localizing The Fellowship

The Starling Collective Fellowship Nigeria will be tailored to the specific context, needs, and priorities of Nigerian grassroots/Community Leaders. The curriculum, coaching, and resources will be localized to ensure relevance and effectiveness in addressing local challenges and driving positive change within Nigerian communities. The first cohorts will be strictly for the GivingTuesday Nigeria communities/aspiring Leaders who already participated in GivingTuesday previously. Watch the space for more information
