GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Our goal
Our goal at Giving Tuesday Nigeria is centered on raising awareness about the significance of giving and generosity to make Giving Tuesday a recognized and embraced tradition in every Nigerian community. We strive to inspire individuals to make a positive impact in the lives of others daily.
Our Approach
Giving Tuesday Nigeria engages local communities through a distributed leadership model that empowers community leaders to form regional networks. These networks bring together a diverse group of people from all walks of life—NGOs, businesses, individuals, schools, and government entities—to collaborate and give back to their communities.
It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.

Giving Ramadan
GivingRamadan aims to unite individuals, families, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to inspire meaningful, community-driven acts of generosity.
Generosity of Books
“Generosity of Books” Summer Readership Campaign—a project that aimed to ignite a love for reading among children and teenagers in the community.
Giving Seeds
“GivingSeeds” reflects the idea of planting seeds of generosity in the hearts and minds of children. By adopting a school for Giving Tuesday, these seeds will be nurtured, and the values of empathy, kindness, compassion, and giving back to society will grow and flourish.
Women Give
Celebrating women-centered generosity through stories of empowerment, solidarity, and impact. These women exemplify active community engagement, a commitment to positive change, and a proven impact on Nigerian society. Their efforts have significantly contributed to community betterment, creating positive, lasting change.
Giving Voices
Giving Voices” is a 30-minute Instagram Live chat series that spotlights changemakers within the Giving Tuesday Nigeria Leaders’ Community, sharing their inspiring stories of change. Its purpose is to empower and inspire individuals to become change-makers in their own communities.
